I was sad for Ori because, before he gave up his life to take on a new one, he didn't get to see or say any farewells to his family. Also stop being sad for Ori, he continues his life circle and he always stay with his family! Why he should say goodbye? They even communicate I almost sure Gumk also didn’t stay long after it, he can live long, but Spirit Tree live longer, so it’s probably only Ori and Ku will left at the end. Yes probably Naru died embracing her child. They love this character so much that they wanted to make his story completed, and not making it stupid milking of name like most of developers doing. They have really big balls for making such end for this story. And finally I really respect Moon Studios for such ending. Main story as I said before also much more complex.

Visuals changed a lot too, which is pre bad as for me because my PC isn’t strong for it unfortunately. Overall as I can see BF as very simple project, like test, and people showed that they ready for such games, and so they made WotW, which is completely complex game that better in every aspect(technically) - music had much more work on it, at least at number of tracks haha, not saying about about chores, orchestra work, very different musical themes and pretty big number of them(while in BF it was pretty few musical themes that repeat themselves) and etc. Well it’s twist, but we still have to restore the light to save Ku. Our objective changed and ow we need to restore the Seir so save Ku and. However in WotW our main goal changed TWICE at least, first we needed to find Ku for going home and when we found her. We knew that in BF we have to restore the light and. Story in WotW much more complex than in BF. Little correction, there also Gumo face and/probably Kuro/Shriek next to Ku but it’s very very barely so.

So when we came into Will of the Wisps, we had no idea what the story would be, but it made the most sense to just start with, well why don't we just continue right there? Like what happened to that egg? That's where it started.

It just made sense to end in that way, where mother is now taking care of the child. But during the Blind Forest development, it became obvious that became the story about two mothers that, at the end, will finally face each other and some way, one inspires the other. So I mean the original ending that I had for Ori and the Blind Forest, it's actually the ending that we used for Will of the Wisps. Thomas Mahler: Well, we thought we were done with it to be honest. When you began working on the sequel, was the ending of the first game a natural jumping off point? How much consideration was there of how much of that to use versus doing something completely new?
